This action is a precautionary measure due to the possible increase in fire behavior and associated fire operations over the next several days on the Westville Fire. Firefighters are continuing to strengthen the line along the Foresthill Divide Road by conducting burnout operations, which will likely result in an increase in smoke in the area causing poor visibility along the road. The Placer County Sheriff's Department is staffing this closure. The Mosquito Ridge Road is open. However, users should be aware that traffic could be restricted or the road could be closed at anytime in the future if fire conditions warrant. The Tahoe National Forest and Placer County are implementing these measures to ensure public and firefighter safety."
