Eighty five percent of the fire is contained. Milder temperatures and light cloud cover provided good conditions for fire crews as they continued to secure the fire&#39;s perimeter and mop up isolated pockets of fire activity near the fire line. One helicopter dumped water on interior hot spots. The fire did not increase is size and has consumed approximately 160 acres. The Pump Station fire is about 2 miles west of Divide, Montana, north of state highway 43 burning on private property and public land administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). No structures or private property have been lost or are currently threatened. The road closure through the Fleecer Mountain Wildlife Management Area will be lifted at midnight Saturday. The road closure was initiated late Friday afternoon because the Pump Station Fire is burning just west of the game range. FWP spokesperson Vana Boccadori, said the road was close to protect the public, and will be re-opened as soon as public safety is no longer a concern. As of Friday evening about 40 % of the fire was contained. The warning is in effect until 9 PM. The fire has grown to about 160 acres, and is burning in timber, sagebrush and grass in upper Charcoal Gulch on ground managed by the Bureau of Land Management close to the Fleecer Mountain Wildlife Management Area. Containment late Friday afternoon is estimate to be 35-40%. Two 20 person Forest Service crews arrived Friday to help 25 local firefighters from the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and Butte-Silver Bow County. Two helicopters continue to dump water on hot spots, and 6 fire engines and 3 water tenders are supporting the ground crews. The fire was still active on its north side at the head of Charcoal Gulch, presenting what the officials felt were "slight problems."Friday morning there were three engines from the Forest Service and three from the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation at the fire. The number was revised to eight, but now with the good work by air tankers, the number of structures threatened by the fire is zero.Retardant drops by the air tankers based in Helena and water drops from three helicopters have put down the fire on its south, west, and east flanks where it was burning in grass and sagebrush.The fire is still active on its north flank, at the head of Charcoal Gulch, in trees.That&#39;s where firefighters will concentrate their work on Friday (August 1).
