Summary

The Gooseberry Fire was started by dry lightning at 12:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29. It is burning in the Seven Lakes Mountain, approximately three miles due east of U.S. Highway 395 and north of Dry Valley.

Units included seven 20-person handcrews, 19 engines, 3 dozers, 1 watertender and two helicopters. Significant demobilization of resources will begin by 1800 on 7/31.

There are approximately 145 personnel remaining on the incident.

No injuries have been reported.
