Summary

The Corner Canyon Fire started on August 25, 2008 at 12:15 P.M. The fire is located east of Draper City on the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. It is burning in grass and brush and some mixed conifer. The fire is 808 acres and is 75% contained. 100% containment is expected on August 28, 2008 at 9:00 P.M. The U.S. Forest Service and Salt Lake Unified Fire Authority are managing the fire incident under a unified command. The Draper City Park and Rodeo Grounds/Equestrian Park are being used for the Incident Command Post and the Helicopter Base and are closed to the public until further notice.
